The Responsiveness of Springs, the Comfort of Memory Foam
Stop choosing between a mattress that supports you and one that actually feels comfortable. The Ashbourne Memory Pocket 2000 brings both together in a single 20cm hybrid design.
The 2000-spring pocket spring core gives you the responsive, natural feel of a quality sprung mattress with the 2cm memory foam comfort layer on top adding that characteristic body-contouring softness that eases pressure at the hips, shoulders, and lower back. Thicker 18cm pocket spring core with memory foam layer provides enhanced contouring and stronger edge stability than basic hybrid models.
The result is a medium-feel mattress that suits most sleepers, regardless of preferred position.
2000 Springs Built for Two
Each of the 2000 individually wrapped pocket springs compresses independently, meaning the mattress responds to your body's specific shape and weight rather than treating the entire surface as one.
This precision support is particularly valuable for couples when one partner shifts position, the springs on their side absorb and respond to that movement without transmitting it across the other side of the bed.
The foam encapsulation around the spring perimeter also means strong edge support throughout - useful for those who sit on the edge of the bed when dressing, or who sleep close to the sides.
Practical Details, Thoughtfully Considered
The fine-knit zip cover is both breathable and easy to remove for washing, a small but meaningful detail for long-term freshness. Hypoallergenic throughout, the Ashbourne arrives vacuum-packed and rolled, expanding fully within a few hours of unboxing. No waiting, no hassle.

2000 Pocket Springs - Why Pocket Springs?
Since pocket springs work independently from each other, pocket sprung mattresses support your body weight to a greater degree than an open coil spring system (also known as standard sprung). This body-reactive design can help you to feel comfortable and well-supported as you sleep, offering even pressure distribution to reduce the risk of pressure point build-up.
Density/Firmness Rating - What's Best For You?
Each type of mattress varies by comfort grade, from soft to firm. Our density ratings (provided by the manufacturer) are to be used as a guide. Every comfort grade has its advantages, and the right one for you depends on your personal preferences but also your favoured sleeping position.
The Ashbourne Memory Pocket Sprung 2000 mattress is rated as Medium.
| Soft | Offers the least resistance, providing a gentle support base, contouring to your natural body shape. Perfect for side sleepers. |
| Medium | Gentle support system, conforming to the shape of your body. Great if you sleep on your side or front. |
| Firm | Provides essential support to maintain natural spinal alignment. Ideal for back or front sleepers. |
| Extra Firm | Provides increased support to maintain natural spinal alignment. Ideal for back or front sleepers. This extra support helps your body maintain good posture and prevents your back from curving. |
Unboxing
- This mattresses is rolled and vacuum packed, so should be removed from the packaging as soon as possible after delivery
- Once unrolled, please allow up to 24 hours for the mattress to fully expand and recover to its intended shape and comfort level
- During the first few hours, the mattress may feel slightly firmer than expected – this will settle as it fully expands
- Some customers may notice a slight, harmless smell when first opening the mattress. This is known as off-gassing, which is normal for newly manufactured foam products. The smell is temporary and typically dissipates within a few hours to a couple of days.
We recommend placing the mattress in a well-ventilated room during this time to help the process

Why this one
We don't list a catalogue. Every piece here was picked from Britain's best-seller data, so this is furniture people are already buying — not something a supplier wanted to shift.
Measurements are on this page. Before ordering anything large, check it through your doorways and stairwell — our measuring and access guide takes five minutes and prevents most delivery problems.
What you're paying
The struck-through figure is what this piece sells for at other UK retailers — not a former price of ours. How our pricing works.
Delivery
Free anywhere in the United Kingdom, with no minimum spend. Most orders leave the warehouse within two working days; larger furniture travels on a dedicated service and usually arrives 3–7 working days after dispatch. Delivery is to the ground-floor threshold unless stated otherwise on this page. Full delivery information.
Returns and refunds
Changed your mind? You have 14 days from delivery to tell us and 14 more to send it back; return postage is yours. Faulty, damaged or not as described? You have 30 days to reject it for a full refund and we cover the return. Read the returns policy.
Assembly and care

Warranty
Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 apply to everything we sell: goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. Where a manufacturer adds its own warranty, the term is stated on this page. More on warranties.
